Keep the lights down low
Make sure that you make the room dark. Get black out curtains if you need to.
Keep your voice quiet
When its time for them to sleep try and make sure you keep your voice down and not talk to much. Especially when they are still sleeping in the same room as you.
Put little one down as soon as they have been changed and fed
It goes without saying that this will be when they are most comfortable and sleepy. So it is a perfect time for sleep.
Don't play just before sleep
Make sure you don’t wake them up by playing with them just before sleep (not so much when they are only a few days old). But as they grow this will stimulate them to stay awake and fight going to sleep.
Create a bedtime routine
As little one starts to grow it’s a great time to make sure you introduce a nighttime routine. Just like adults, this is just as important for babies. Their body and mind will recognize when to get sleepy. This will help sleep to happen quicker.
