FAQ’s

Q. Where are you?

A. We are located in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire a stone’s throw away from the M5 our address is :
Unit 2, Mitton Manor Garage, Bredon Rd, Tewkesbury GL20 5DA
We’re just next to the Shell Garage.

Q. Is there parking?

A. Yes and plenty of it!  As you drive in there are spaces on your left-hand side, and should they be full, there are always spaces on the other side of the petrol pumps.

Q. Are you wheelchair accessible?

A. Yes! There are no steps or stairs into, or leading up to, our building and there is plenty of space to get around in a wheelchair.  Our restroom is also disability friendly, though if you have any special requirements or would like to make sure our building fits your personal needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch just to be sure.

Q. What type of photography do you specialise in?

A. We are Newborn & Family Specialists.  Natalie is known as the ‘Baby Whisperer’.  We also capture stunning portraits of children, dance and dogs.  We also have our very own Dog Photographer Specialist, Elise.  Visit our Galleries for examples.

Q. When do you offer sessions?

A. We offer sessions all throughout the week including weekends, though it depends on what type of shoot you were looking for. We recommend getting in touch with Vicky through  to find out what time slot works best.

Q. Why do I have to pay a booking deposit?

A. Being a small family business, our time is valuable and limited and we can only book a finite number into our day. We are very fortunate to have wonderful clients who are considerate, but we have had a few no shows over the years, so that’s the purpose of this booking fee. It is fully refundable at your Ordering Appointment or it can just be applied as studio credit to your invoice if you prefer. If you are unable to make the agreed appointment then please let us know and as long as we have been given 72hrs notice, we can reschedule your appointment and you will not forfeit this booking fee.

Q. How do I book in?

A. You can book in through the link in your e-mail/text or if you are a new client you can book through the bookings page on our website.

Q. Do you offer gift vouchers?

A. Yes, we do!  You can find them here: Gift Vouchers | Blink of an Eye (blinkstudios.co.uk)These are e-vouchers so if you would like to receive a physical voucher to give someone as a gift, please let us know, you should be able to write a note to us when purchasing your voucher, but make sure you don’t forget to write the address and if we’re sending it straight to them, what you would like written on the voucher! Otherwise, you can just give us a call on 01684 275159 or email  if you forget.

Q. When can I come back to see my photos?

A. Your photographer will book you in for your viewing appointment on the day of your session, we have slots available on weekends and weekdays so we can find a date and time that suits you best. Your images will be ready to view about a week after your session.  If you can, we do recommend bringing along any relatives who might like to see them too as this is the best opportunity to get the full effect of your photos.

Q. My child has additional needs, can you accommodate that?

A.We absolutely can, Natalie has a lot of first-hand experience with children with additional needs and has found many ways to help bring them out of their shell and make them feel comfortable. If you would like to speak to Natalie about your child’s needs give us a call on 01684 275159 or email  to tell her more.

Q. What should we wear?

A. If you wish please bring a couple of outfits for different looks. We do encourage any items which represent your family and can help us create a more personal portrait to you. Please ask if you are in any doubt. You will be sent a guide on booking your session.

Q. Do you do digital images?

A. No. As a fine art portrait studio our desire is to produce works of portrait art to display on your walls to enjoy every day and not left languishing in a drawer. All our work is fully framed either in traditional style with glass and mounts or in more contemporary frameless products.

Q. How long does the session take?

A. We allow 1 hour in the studio from arrival to departure. We allow up to 2 for a Newborn Session. We also ask you to bring your diary to the portrait session as we need you to return to the studio for your ordering appointment which also takes 1 hour.

Q. How much are extra photographs?

A. Everything we supply is fully finished and framed ready to hang on the wall or stand on a desk. Our desk portraits start from only £75 and our wall hanging artworks start at £295. As we work on an à la carte menu you can simply purchase as many or as little as you wish with no tied packages.

Q. Who owns the copyright?

A. Blink of an Eye Studios owns the copyright on all of our images. If you would like to speak to us about any commercial use of our images please call us on 01684275159.

Q. I feel self-conscious in front of the camera, what advice can you give me?

A. We are here to guide you through the process. If you have any specific questions please get in touch. We have many years of experience and we will put you at ease and use our expert knowledge of poses and lighting to make you look amazing.

Q. Can we combine our vouchers?

A. Unfortunately not – it’s strictly one voucher per family household per year.

Q. Can I view my images straight after the photoshoot?

A. Unfortunately not, we work through the images to show you the best of the best! Once your images have been taken, they are creatively edited, adding a touch of digital magic, this normally takes our experienced editor a couple of hours.

Q. What is Wall Art?

A. If you see photos as something you look through on your computer or phone, or to be added on to a USB and hidden away in a drawer, then perhaps we’re not the right photographers for you!
We believe your images are art pieces and should be proudly displayed on your wall or lovingly presented in our albums.
The photographs will be in your family for generations and we want your stunning Blink of an Eye Studios Portraits to be proudly displayed for years to come.

Q. Do you deliver?

A. Unfortunately not, as you know the courier or postman can be rather heavy handed and we can’t be responsible for damaged goods this way. Collections need to be made in person so we can go through your order with you and ensure your complete satisfaction.

Q. When can we come back in?

A. We would of course love to have you back in, it is one voucher per 12-month period, but we recommend you see us very 2-3 years to capture the different stages of childhood and family life. Please contact the studio directly if you are a returning customer on 01684 275159
