Facts about Labrador Dogs

They have endless energy

Yep… they may appeared laid back and chilled.  But they need a lot of work to keep there energy at bay.  If they don’t have lots of exercise you could find destruction in the house when you come home.  Even escape attempts from the garden.

Water is just the best

And Labs just can not get enough of it!  They are made to be in the water with their thick tails and their web feet, even down to their waterproof coats.  So your new best friend will want to have some playtime in the water.

Definitely make sure you take them puppy training

Getting a lab trained and socialized is really important.  With their boundless energy, they need all the activities they can. 

Labs are super intelligent so love the challenge of training.  Along with their want to please you will find yourself enjoying it as much as your dog.

They were bred as hunting dogs

And you can see why with the amazing intelligence and love for the water.  They started out as duck retrievers and in the 1800s were bred in England as game hunting companions. 

They are such amazing versatile dogs.  And because of this, you will find them doing so many different roles in this day and age.
