Just look at this Adorable Dog Portrait with Mika and his human Amanda.
During the shoot Mika was an excellent model. He was very sweet and happy to go along with whatever we were doing (as long as there were a few treats involved). He wasn’t deterred even when I put him on a mountain of suitcases.
Amanda brought with her a set of red wellies. And we managed to show off one of his special tricks. Placing his paw on Amanda’s foot. Which is one of my favorite images we created on the day.
Above all, it’s always important to try to show off each dog’s uniqueness. This could be a certain face they pull, a toy they love. Even a special trick they do.
Surprisingly enough we actually had a bit of trouble getting Mika in the studio. Although amazing in the shoot to begin with, however, he was having a bit of trouble with ‘marking his territory. Therefore we actually had to extend Amanda’s win until after he’d gotten past that. Thankfully we had zero accidents in the studio on the day and he was an utter delight.
I think you will agree about the Adorable Dog Portrait Images from this session. Read Amanda’s words below:
Amanda’s words on the experience
After spending 22 years in the Army I really wanted a companion. So I got Mika ready for my final 2 years in the Army before retiring. He is my world.
On the day of the session, myself and Mika were made to feel very welcome. Even had our own family sign just for us. Our photographer Elise was lovely with him and very patient. Clearly knew what she was doing.
A week later I returned on my own for my viewing and OMG I was so emotional. The slideshow was amazing and very well put together. The photos were amazing. It was so hard to choose what I wanted. But I was made to feel comfortable and able to take my time.
The whole experience was an experience I’ll never forget. Mika is only 14 months old and the photos truly captured his personality and that’s all that I could ever dream of.
