Yep, it’s an obvious one. But you could both read different books or read together depending on their age. When they are old enough this can be a great way of getting some you time while they read, and enjoy some of your favourites.

Grab a tent and have a camp out with the kids in the back garden. or you can camp in and get sleeping bags set up in the lounge.
Get snacks and food. Flashlight and tell stories, jokes, sing and if anyone plays a musical instrument add that too.
Have some fun, get some herbs and some plants the kids can watch them grow. You can even plant some veg and grow food to cook together on another day.
Even get some pictures of the plants growing. You could have patches in the gardens with little signs with the kids’ names on their patches of gardens.

Get some materials and just have fun building anything you can think of together. Save up the items you were planning on throwing away and instead build a tower or maybe a fort. Anything your imagination comes up with.
