Interesting paws!
Labradors have webbed toes and are therefore excellent swimmers. This webbing can also effectively act as a snowshoe in colder climates, as it keeps snow from collecting between their toes.
Colours
Labs are available in three colours: black, chocolate and yellow. Chocolate labs are now becoming more popular year on year whereas the black Labrador was the most commonly seen coat colour. The coat of the Labrador is always just the one colour, and puppies from the same litter can be all three colours! Amazing!
they love affection
Labs absolutely love to be around their humans and they need a lot of affection, as well as plenty of exercise to burn off all that energy! They love nothing more than fetching a ball or running around in a field with the kids and then coming back home to cuddles in the warm!
They are constantly hungry!
While most dogs have a very enthusiastic relationship with their dinner, this is even more so with a Labrador! When training a Labrador it really is best to use treats, as they really do respond well to a tasty treat! However, their love of food can have a downside, they may also be prone to begging and scavenging, meaning they might eat something that’s not so suitable for their stomachs!
If you see a Labrador wearing a muzzle when out, chances are that this is to stop them eating something that they shouldn’t eat, rather than to stop them biting!

Labradors are the most popular dog breed in America & the UK. And contrary to popular belief the breed actually originated in Newfoundland (Canada), not Labrador.
